These terms set out some important information that we are required to provide by law. As this includes information about our charges, if you do not have private medical insurance but someone else will be paying your bill, you may wish to pass a copy of this letter to them.  Please note that even if someone else is paying your bill or you have private medical insurance, you are responsible for paying any charges which they do not pay.

Consultation Fees

Our fees for  consultations  will not exceed the fees shown at the top of this page. Should you cancel your appointment with less than 24 hours’ notice, a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the appointment charge may be charged.

In addition, there is a fee for skin prick allergy testing during a consultation. Costs of vaccines or immunotherapy is charged separately and is payable to the Spire Southampton Hospital. If there are any other fees which we will charge in relation to any of the tests we advise that you have, we will let you know what those will be.

Following your consultation you may need certain tests (such as blood tests or imaging, for example an X-ray, MRI or CT scan) to help me diagnose your condition. If the test is undertaken by the clinic or hospital, and not by Allergy Healthcare, the fees for those tests will be determined by the clinic or hospital and charged to you, or your private medical insurer, separately.

Private Medical Insurance

If you have private medical insurance, please contact your insurer before your consultation, to check the terms of your policy, particularly the level and type of outpatient cover you have, including any reimbursement limits on individual consultation fees.

Please note you are responsible for any fees not covered by your insurer. In the absence of any prior written agreement to the contrary, failure to make payment may result in the matter being referred to P&J CDS our debt collection agents, whose charges will be added to and payable with this balance.

Financial Interests

We are legally obliged to tell you if we have any financial interests in the Spire Southampton Hospital or any equipment there. We can confirm that either Allergy Healthcare Ltd or the individual practitioners do not have any such financial interests.
